Any goal worthy of accomplishing in life is not going to be a straight line. There will be bumps, bruises, scratches, pain, and discomfort. The idea, then, is to accept this truth before we even begin, so that we can anticipate it along the way.
Winners expect adversity and leverage it to separate ourselves from the pack, appreciating it for what it’s worth: an opportunity to grow stronger by remaining curious, confident, self-reflective, and optimistic. Not just when things are good, but in the midst of the storm….that’s when our true character is revealed. That’s when we learn who we really are.
